A soft, lightweight cap made with 100% polyester for superior comfort. Imported.
Customer Review: NFL Skull Cap
Product works fine, except the headband has stretched a little so it doesn't fit so tight as it did new. Not quite sure why it has to be dry cleaned only.
Customer Review: Wear what the pros wear
I use this hat for training on the gym, and is verry useful, i can sweat without feeling the warm-head, easy to clean, ( tag says Dry Clean only) but i wash daily with cold water and few soap, and it looks and feels cool

To receive the best technical training for the 40-yard dash, parents of high school and college student athletes are shelling out hundreds to thousands of dollars for their football playing sons. The sprint has been glorified and parents are going out of their way to make sure their kid can run in a straight path as fast as possible. What if I told you that the 40-yard dash is nonsense?

The NFL has based their decisions primarily on the 40-yard dash. Athletes have been picked up or dropped off at the nearest corner depending on a fraction of a second. How many times do million dollar earners have a chance to have the ball in an open field? It's a small amount of time and it usually pays off. However, the most important component of the game is speed. How fast can a player get from point "A" to point "B" with two or three opponents obstructing their path? It's not about straight line dashes. Football plays usually last between 5-7 seconds, sometimes less, and usually with players having to break stride multiple times. What's important is whether it is for chasing a running back while he cuts back or fighting off a line backer.

Anyone can run in a straight line and look good, but can they quickly move laterally while hiding their flaws? No, it is nearly impossible to move quickly without perfect form. That is why the under rated test is the short shuttle and the 3-cone drill - requiring absolute foot speed, power, coordination and finesse. The execution of these drills illustrates to a scout whether a player is a high caliber athlete, or not.

The game requires polished foot speed. There are many drills and exercises that can help for this improvement. Here are just a few:

Lateral hurdle runs
Forward hurdle runs
Ladder work (multiple drills)
Running drills (multiple drills, also)
Plyometrics (multiple drills, too)

Don't forget that there are many drills that focus on change-of-direction. Use your imagination. The best way to visualize these exercises is to look them up online at YouTube.

The 40-yard dash is a great test for absolute speed, but in the game of football, chances of having that space to run without any other player deterring you from your path are slim. Therefore, really work on the 3-cone drill and the short shuttle to enhance your chances of making a team or stepping it up to the next level.
